Let’s Record!

• Once the form is submitted, your project files will be reviewed to make sure a recording can take place.

• When approved, you will receive an email (to the one you list in the form) including confirmation of your project. You will also receive a Paypal invoice via email to pay for the recording.

• Once your payment is received, your files will be delivered in a google drive link via email.

• You can submit sheet music (PDF, PNG, JPEG) and/or audio recordings (WAV, AIF, MP3).

• If you submit sheet music, make sure to include tempo information, dynamics, and terms of expression. Music will be performed “literally,” so ensure your submission reflects exactly what you envision (Including a reference track in the submission is very helpful in this regard). Click tracks are recommended, but not required.

• If you submit audio recordings (real or MIDI), click tracks are required. Make sure any sampled performances are clearly perceivable concerning pitch and rhythm.

• Backing tracks are not required but recommended.

• Please no MIDI files unless in addition to sheet music or audio recordings.

• Please no xml files or DAW files.

Submit one form per project to keep things organized and communication clear.

The fees listed below are approximate, giving you a good idea of the final cost for your recording(s) based on how much music is being recorded.Depending on complexity and demands of the project, the fee may be adjusted.

• 1 minute ($120)

• 2 minutes ($240)

• 3 minutes ($360)

• 4 minutes ($480)

• 5 minutes ($600)

*Don’t include gaps between excerpts in your approximations (i.e. If you have a 4 minute song, but cello only plays for a total of 2 minutes, your approximate cost would be $240 for recording the cello excerpt(s).)

*Fee includes one pass of edits. Additional rounds of edits will result in additional fees.

• Recordings will be delivered in the form of WAV (96khz) and mp3 files unless otherwise requested.

• Once the form is submitted and the necessary files are received, recording files will be delivered within 2 weeks . If you need the files by a certain date, indicate so in the form.

Recordings take place in a home studio in room that is 12’ x 14’ x 8’. The cello is recorded by 2 Telefunken m60s though a Focusrite 18i8.

Audio files will be recorded at 96khz unless otherwise requested, then delivered as WAV files.

The owner of the intellectual property owns the rights to these recordings. This is a work-for-hire agreement.

You may submit any public domain material or copyrighted material that you own the rights to.
